Doing something that matters and helping to make a difference can help you discover and develop your talents, passions and skills; help making a difference!

Here at Positive Bunch we are lucky enough to have an amazing Team of Volunteers working on the Project.

Below you can read about how some of our Team Members have got involved on the project, how they help and also have gained some great insight and experience along the way.

If you would like to get involved with Positive Bunch, drop us a note and let us know what areas of the Project you might like to get involved with, it could be becoming a guest contributor for the Positivity Blog, become a Community Member or even helping on one of our Social Media channels or the online Shop. #PartofthePositive

Aaina: I have been volunteering with Positive Bunch [PB] for three months and have had the opportunity to both give and gain simultaneously.

I have been able to learn a lot from the experience because I was able to create an idea of a positive news blog into the actual ‘Positivity Blog’ that you are reading today.

The creative freedom and autonomy over the project have meant that I have acquired a lot of new skills – such as project management, creative writing and time management. This, when all put together, has meant that volunteering with Positive Bunch has been an amazing learning experience.

Whilst being such an educational experience, working on the project has also meant I have been able to have an impact. On the blog, I have written a number of articles exploring the work that some life-changing charities are doing. By writing about these charities, I have been able to raise awareness about their work and thus allow them to gain more support and continue doing what they are doing. This is particularly important for some smaller, start-up charities who are gaining a lot from the blog posts and social media content that is raising awareness about them.

My time volunteering has also allowed me to venture into projects beyond the ‘Positivity Blog’, into other areas such as designing and crowdfunding. Looking at all the different aspects of Positive Bunch has allowed me to understand how everything works together and how the different aspects of the project complement each other.

My time here at Positive Bunch has been amazing, it has allowed for a number of amazing opportunities and I cannot wait to work on the project and see grow even larger!

Tina: What do you love about volunteering?

What’s great about volunteering is how much your personal experience and talent can benefit an organization's development and success, but even if you fall short on certain skills and experience for a role - volunteering also offers you this amazing opportunity to learn and build on these skills and improve on them as you go!

Ultimately, one of the best things about volunteering, to me, is that your disadvantages don't always set you back, and not only will volunteering give you an opportunity to make a positive difference to your community but also on yourself.

What do you love about being part of the PB project?

Given the current situation going on in the world - finding Positive Bunch has been a lifesaver.

One of the best things about being part of this team is that I am one of the many individuals who are helping to make this world a better place and to be honest, it’s such a satisfying feeling knowing that I can help spread some joy to people’s newsfeed and highlight all the inspirational and hardworking projects and causes that we support and need supporting.

Another great thing that I love about this project is that I am able to tap into my creative side and create content that makes others smile and learn how to effectively strategize our social media content. Plus, I’m also able to connect with other hardworking and innovative organisations and projects and provide them with the much-needed exposure that they deserve!

All in all, being a part of Positive Bunch is amazing because this project is set to do great things!”

Sam: What you love about volunteering?

It doesn’t really feel like volunteering when you are spending your time on something that interests and inspires you while knowing it will help so many others. It’s actively using your time the way you want

What you love about being part of the PB project?

This project is working towards bringing happiness and joy to so many people, Social Media has had such a negative impact on society in so many ways and for so many people but there is no reason it can’t be impacting everyone in a positive way - if we can change this experience for people to bring only happiness then who knows what else people can start to see in a positive way.

Together we are part of the Positive Bunch Team, which is an energetic UK based social enterprise, not-for-profit project that is on a mission to tackle social isolation, loneliness and support positive-impact causes.

Positively have a great day!
