Founded in 1986 in Edenbridge, Kent, Last Chance Animal Rescue Centre takes in dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs; providing them with medical attention, food, shelter and most of all - love!

The ultimate aim is to rehome the animals with loving new owners, and Last Chance provides new owners with support in the form of 4 weeks’ free insurance, vaccination, worming treatments and neutering before they leave, with follow-up visits to ensure that the furry friend has settled into their new lives. Last Chance added a new centre in 2015 in New Romney to rescue even more animals in need.

Why ‘Last Chance’?

Last Chance take in a lot of ‘Pound dogs’ who are at risk of death if no-one rescues them. The name comes from the fact that for many of these animals, this is truly their last chance of finding a happy, healthy and loving home.

How Can I Help?

There are many ways to help Last Chance in their vital mission to rescue animals in need. You can donate directly to the cause on the website, or you can consider fundraising and donating the funds you receive.

Another way to help is by fostering. Sometimes, animals that are rescued need a one-to-one approach due to their particular needs. Fosterers can take in animals and provide them with the love and care they need to thrive.

You can also become a member of Last Chance or volunteer with them. Volunteering opportunities include dog walking, home checking and spending time with the animals on site. We are also supporting Last Chance Animal Rescue in our Crowdfunding Campaign!

How Can I Find Out More?

The Last Chance Animal Rescue Centre’s website is a great resource for information, including how to adopt an animal in need. You can visit the Last Chance Rescue Website here.
